Towel and bath towel FAQ

The questions that come up before a first order, answered in the terms this product family actually uses. Where an answer depends on a specific specification, it says so instead of generalizing.

07.1 · Specification

Material, size, and GSM

Can every material, size, and texture be combined?

No. The ranges on this site describe what can be discussed, not a compatibility matrix. A specific combination is confirmed against production feasibility, a sample, and a written specification.

A listed material and a listed size on the same page is a coincidence of two lists, not an offer of that pairing.

Is a higher GSM always better?

No. GSM is weight per square meter. It does not by itself determine softness, absorbency, strength, or suitability. Material, size, texture, piece weight, pack, and use are confirmed together.

A heavier towel also means more fiber per piece, which changes cost and carton weight for the same count. GSM is a design choice, not a grade.

Which material should a project start with?

Start from the use rather than the fiber. Viscose is the reference fiber for this family, with a soft hand and fast water take-up. Cotton gives a drier, more textured hand at the highest fiber cost. Polyester blends feel softer and cost less, but fuzz more and absorb less as the polyester share rises.

The full comparison, including how wood pulp blends differ, is on the materials section.

What sizes are available?

Towels run 30 or 40 cm wide and 40 to 100 cm long, depending on the application. Bath towels run 60 to 80 cm wide and 100 to 160 cm long. The individually packed line records its own size sets, listed on the products page.

The two lines do not share one size list, so a size that exists in one format should not be assumed in the other.

07.2 · Packing and quantity

Formats, minimums, and timing

Can towels or bath towels be packed in a dispenser or on a roll?

No. Towels and bath towels are packed either folded in bulk or individually sealed. Dispenser packs and rolls belong to the face towel line, which is a separate product.

If a project is built around a dispenser, this guide is the wrong starting point, and the answer is a different product rather than a different pack for this one.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Private-label towels and bath towels typically start at 40,000 pieces per SKU, counted separately for each size, color, and pack artwork. The figure is confirmed for the specific specification.

Three sizes in one carton design is three SKUs, not one. That is the part buyers most often miss when they plan a range.

How long does production take?

About 20 working days for a standard private-label program, counted from deposit received and final packaging artwork approved, whichever is later. Booking, loading, and international transport are not included.

The clock does not start on the purchase order. It starts when money has arrived and artwork has been signed off, which is why an artwork delay moves the delivery date.

Are samples free?

Regular product samples are usually free of charge and the buyer covers international courier cost. Custom packaging carries the packaging supplier's proofing charge. Terms are confirmed in writing before the sample ships.

Existing samples, custom product samples, and printed packaging samples are three different jobs with three different timelines, so one number of days does not cover all of them.

07.3 · Environment and standard

What can and cannot be claimed

Can the product be described as biodegradable?

Only for the confirmed composition. Products made only of cotton, only of viscose, or only of viscose and lyocell can carry a biodegradable description for the towel body, not the packaging. Any product containing polyester or polypropylene cannot be described as 100% biodegradable.

Adding 20% polyester to a viscose towel removes the claim for the whole piece. The composition has to be written down before the wording is chosen.

Is the product compostable?

Only where the towel body is confirmed 100% viscose, and only under suitable composting conditions. The wording excludes bags, labels, cartons, and adhesive parts. No third-party compostability certificate is registered for this range, so no certification may be claimed.

Whether a used towel is accepted by a local composting facility depends on that facility and its rules, including what the towel was used with.

Does the national standard mean the product is certified?

No. GB/T 40276-2021 is a recommended national standard, and the manufacturer is one of its drafting organizations. Drafting status is not a product certification, and no product is described here as certified to it.

The distinction, and what the standard's scope actually covers, is set out on the about page.

07.4 · Buying

Stock, branding, and price

Is there stock, or neutral unbranded packaging?

No. Production is to a private-label specification, and there is no neutral unbranded pack offered as a standard option. Every program is made to a buyer's artwork.

A buyer should therefore expect to supply brand files and label content before a production date can be fixed.

Can a price be quoted from a size and a product name?

No. Price depends on material and its ratio, size, GSM, piece weight, texture, color, pack, print, quantity, trade term, and destination port. Those have to be known before a figure means anything.

The enquiry page lists what to send in one message so the first reply can carry a number.
